The Wild Atlantic Way, 2600 km (1600 miles) in length, is one of the longest-defined coastal routes in the world. It winds its way all along the Irish west coast from the Inishowen Peninsula in the north down to the picturesque town of Kinsale, County Cork, in the south.

The Inn at Dromoland is located at the gateway, with the Cliffs of Moher and Loop Head, just a short 50-minute drive, along with many more located on the coastal route – visit here to learn more about the wonders to explore.  Take in the majestic splendour of the Cliffs of Moher, breathe in the wonderful aromas of the Burren and sample all of the amazing food and craft beers of Co. The Outing Festival at The Inn at Dromoland is located in Co. Clare, near Ennis. It is situated along the M18 Limerick to Galway Motorway. Leave the M18 at Exit 11, take the 1st exit off the Dromoland East roundabout. The Inn at Dromoland on the left hand side.

Rail Travel

The nearest train stations are located in Limerick City, 35.5km away, and in nearby Ennis town 14.4km, and daily services operate from Dublin, Cork, and Galway.
Irish Rail’s website allows you to plan your journey and provides regularly updated timetables from all connecting destinations.

 

Bus Travel

Bus Éireann is Ireland’s national bus company and operates services to nearby locations. Regular services between Limerick, Shannon Airport and Ennis, on route 343, will get you close to Dromoland Castle Estate. You can alight in either Shannon Airport or NewMarket on Fergus and get a taxi directly to the Inn at Dromoland hotel.
